Green Light New Orleans - a free CFL light bulb direct installation program

Did you receive light bulbs from us? Are you a resident of New Orleans, and looking for a way to have a positive impact on your community? Grab a friend or 50, and come on out to install light bulbs with us! We offer year-round volunteer opportunities 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. You can choose to volunteer a full or half day, and times are always flexible. Please note that, as a safety precaution, no volunteers are ever sent out alone. If you’d like to volunteer by yourself, we are always in need of help in the office, and are particularly in need of folks with skills in website design & management, graphic design, and fundraising. No matter how you choose to volunteer with us, you can have a direct positive impact on our community. We look forward to meeting you!

Free Program We provide you with free spiral CFL light bulbs. The program is open to anybody. There are no restrictions. The free program has a waiting list from one to several month. We don't provide specialty bulbs (chandelier bulbs, vanity, flood lights) Those have to be purchased through BuyGreenGiveGreen Click the magnolia to sign up		BuyGreenGiveGreen Can you donate the cost of your light bulbs? If so, Green Light can immediately install your home, and the home of a New Orleans resident who cannot afford the initial investment.
