Green Light New Orleans

Did you receive light bulbs from us? Are you a resident of New Orleans, and looking for a way to have a positive impact on your community? Grab a friend or 50, and come on out to install light bulbs with us! We offer year-round volunteer opportunities 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. You can choose to volunteer a full or half day, and times are always flexible. Please note that, as a safety precaution, no volunteers are ever sent out alone. If you’d like to volunteer by yourself, we are always in need of help in the office, and are particularly in need of folks with skills in website design & management, graphic design, and fundraising. No matter how you choose to volunteer with us, you can have a direct positive impact on our community. We look forward to meeting you!

Apply for CFL light bulbs
Free Program We provide your home with free spiral CFL light bulbs. The program is open to anybodyone living in the Greater New Orleans area, and there are no income eligibility or restrictions. We currently have a lot of CFLs available but we cannot provide specialty bulbs (small base chandelier, vanity, flood lights) Specialty light bulbs can be purchased through BuyGreenGiveGreen. Our free program is dependent on VOLUNTEERS. Please, consider volunteering with Green Light to help us continue providing this free service to residents in our community.
