VOLUNTEER

as a group

If you are a church group, neighborhood association, knitting club, or just have a group of coworkers or friends we welcome you to spend a day (or more) helping people to lower their electric bills by installing bulbs. Your group will find that volunteering with us goes way beyond the energy saving. The social interaction among your group and with the families will be as rewarding as the energy efficiency aspect. Fill out the form below and we will contact you.
Please fill out and submit the form to the left!  We’ll contact you for further information.

"The best way to build trust and understanding in another is to share their truth is to meet them face to face and converse with them. Green Light NOLA afforded us this opportunity. We met people where they are most comfortable- in their homes. It was a gift to be listeners as residents shared stories of Katrina with us and life in NOLA. Exchanging light bulbs for energy efficient, more cost effective replacements was a gift that felt like an embodiment of the "Think globally, act locally" effort we wish to be a part of . We raised conciousness about energy efficiency and learned so much ourselves. A highlight at the end of the visit was watching the residents eyes widen as we quoted the long term savings estimate in dollars they would have based upon the number of lightbulbs exchanged."
