In addition to the free energy efficient light bulb and backyard vegetable garden programs, Green Light New Orleans continues to make an impact by connecting residents to a diverse array of services that promote environmental and community health and well-being:

• 3,500 residents signed up for the citywide curbside recycling program
• 2,000 air filters distributed to promote indoor air quality and energy efficiency
• 230 smart strips provided to combat phantom power
• 350 residents referred to NOFD to receive free smoke detectors
• 81 businesses installed with energy efficient light bulbs
• 600 local college and high school students engaged in service learning and internship programs
• 6 elementary schools engaged with environmental education
• 12,000 volunteers mobilized in the fight against climate change
